About Me

Hello, My name is McKay Anderson. There isn't a lot that you need to know about me (nor do I believe in posting ridiculous amounts of personal information on the internet) but I want to give you an idea of who I am as a person...it makes me more approachable or something like that. I'm not an author or anything. Actually, I am an artist. I always have been. As a child I dreamed of being a fine artist, one of the greats. I love surrealism and I have recently come to love impressionism. I am now in college studying to be a product/industrial designer.

I am very religious. It is more than just an organization that I belong to. It started out as a place to belong, a people to identify with, but has since grown into a very real part of what I am and influences the way I act every day. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know, its a mouthful. Its no wonder we've adopted the name of Mormons. I am Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer. I believe in the atonement that he made for all mankind to come unto him in order to be relieved of those feelings of guilt and pain. I have had my fair share of mistakes but I have found healing and peace in the knowledge that Christ provided a way to be happy despite our pasts.

I am grateful for the Christian family that I have had the opportunity to be a part of. I strive to love all people regardless of belief or race (that doesn't mean I'm good at it...but I am trying). I am not perfect nor do I profess to be, but Christ is in the business of making us all perfect, so I lay myself before him.

I served a 2-year volunteer mission in Japan in an effort to serve and share the enlivening message of my Savior. I loved that time. I am sure many things about the Japanese culture and people will emerge as I write. Thank you for reading a little bit about my gratitude. I have found that when I am in the worst moods I can be turned around by looking back at my love book and reading just a few reasons why life is so good. I hope you experience the same. I welcome feedback, positive encouragement, questions, and just a note to say hi. You can easily get in touch with me through email if you want at swimmin24.7@gmail.com.
